Guys, something you really have to think about now is how you are going to go about English from now on. You have just finished your last semester of regular advanced course, but you know that if you stop practcing, you start losing what you have learned so far.
Of course you can take one of the many post-advanced courses here at Casa Thomas Jefferson (or at any other school), but there are (many!) things that you can do on your own in order to keep you English polished.
Here is a list of things some of my intermediate students from last semester brainstormed about learning more English. There are things to be done in the classroom and outside the classroom. I would like you to focus on the things that can be done outside the classroom and, after reflecting for some time and taking into account the brainstorming we did in class, answer the following:

Were there any strategy you thought of while you were brainstorming and that is not written on the list? (This will help me update the list)

Do you think reading this list (and doing your own brainstorming) will help you continue learning/practcing English? How? How much?

1. Put English as your first language in all your eletronic equipaments is a good way to pratice.

1) Take 1 hour/day to study English (like a class).
2) Yes, I have to fell motivate to continue study. Something like cronogram: Now I will study grammar, after I will listen music, etc.

the list is good and it will help me a lot. if we do the of things on the list we won`t loose what we have learned until now. listening to music, reading books and watching movies are easy things that we can start doing today!

1) There isn’t nothing more that I want to add on the list, but wacth movies and series with no subtitles or with subtitles in english is the best strategy that I was brainstorming, at least, for the next semester wich I will still studying for UNB’s exam.
2)Yes, I do. Reading lyrics while I am listen music, or read books and go to the dictionary to see the mening of the word that I don’t know is totally possibly. Like this We could learn a lot of vocabulary and improve our english. It only depends of our effort.
3) I will start speak english at home with my sisters and watch how many movies and series in english that i could.

This list is actually very interesting. It`s certainly true that if we don`t continue practicing Enghlish with books, songs, movies and so on, we`ll loose everything easily. So is really important to choose some advices shown in the list to make it on a nice way.

1. when we did brainstorming I thought about playing online games ( like LINE AGE II, obs. talk to Mauricio and ask him for it.), we can use MSN to talk to people around the world( obs. I have a friend that learned how to improve his english just talking with an australian girl) and we can learn english going on websites ( youtube, gamewinners)
2. doing this brainstorming I learned more about how to improve my english. I think that I can do more for it, because I didn`t do all of this things and I can do it, there is no limits.
3. I will tray to talk in english all time now.
